Pricing & Payment

Fees, Services, Cancellations, and Late Arrivals

Services are billed following the GHC Policies. You will receive invoices via email but may also make payments over the phone or in person for your appointment. Appointment scheduling and payments are processed by Square, which uses an established and secure platform that is also HIPAA-compliant. If you feel like you are missing an invoice, please check your spam or junk folder, and then email me at Beth@GoldHeartCounseling.com

The charge for the initial counseling session is $100.00 and the charge for a standard session is $85.00. A counseling session consists of 50 minutes. If a session lasts longer than the standard time, an added charge of $25.00 is added for each additional 15 minutes. Clients are expected to pay in full at the time of services. Payment for services may be made by cash, check, or credit card, and is due prior to, or the day of, service.

If you must cancel an appointment, please try to cancel at least 48 hours in advance. A 24-hour advance cancellation is required unless there is an absolute emergency.

Group Sessions are available upon request.

Confidentiality

All patient information is to be treated as confidential, including the fact that the patient receives (or previously received) services through this office. The privacy and confidentiality of patients is protected under the Ethics Codes of the mental health professions, state laws and regulations, and federal HIPAA Regulations. No patient information may be disclosed without the explicit informed consent of the patient and authorization by his/her clinician.

What about Insurance?

You will be billed directly. We do not bill through insurance; however, many insurance companies will reimburse or cover partial payment if you submit a claim to your health insurance provider. With COVID-19, insurance companies have greatly expanded the types of services that they will cover, and you should be able to pay for your session using FSA or HSA funds.

Billing directly allows you and I more freedom and the utmost privacy. There are no session limits, restrictions, or confusing billing issues. Additionally, any diagnosis will not be given to your insurance where it can live on forever. Insurance will not have a say in how sessions are conducted or their time limit. Insurance will not have access to notes or any other information you don’t want them knowing. It also allows me to spend my time and energy with you, the client. However, if you would like to submit to your insurance company for out of network benefits, I would be happy to provide you the information needed to do so.
